Batata Vada Recipe:Is the  most popular snack from the streets of  maharastra its an
Masaledar Mashed  potatoes stuff coated in a thick besan (chickpea flour) batter and deep fried till light golden brown .Served with a tangy green chutney and with fried chilles, batata vada is a street food delight tat you can easily prepare at home during the monsoon season or usually as an evening snacks it is an simple and quick so you can easily dish up this chatpata snack when unexpected guests arrive.

Ingredients Of Batata Vada

  • 600 gms potatoes
  • for deep frying oil


Tempering

  • 2 gms curry leaves
  • 5 gms turmeric powder
  • 3 gms red chilli powder
  • 10 gms green chillies
  • 10 gms ginger
  • 10 gms garlic
  • 1 lime
  • 10 gms coriander leaves
  • Salt according to taste

Batter:

  • 200 gms gram flour
  • Water
  • 5 gms red chilli powder
  • 5 gms turmeric
  • 3 gms cumin (crushed)
  • Salt
  • 2 gms baking soda


How to Make Batata Vada

  • Cook the potatoes until soft, peel and mash coarsely.
  •  green chillies, garlic, ginger and the coriander leaves Chop or crush together .
  • Using the mentioned ingredients make a thick batter.
  • Heat oil and add mustard seeds, after they crackle add the curry leaves.
  • Mix in all the rest of the tempering ingredients and add to the mashed potatoes.
  • Divide the potato mixture into equal sized portions, approximately the size of a lemon.
  • Dip each ball in the batter and deep fry until golden brown in color.
  • Serve hot with a chutney.

Veg Grilled Sandwich With Veg Mayonnaise And Mozzarella Cheese.





























INGREDIENTS
  1. 6 slices bread, white / brown
  2. 1 capsicum, finely chopped
  3. 1 onion, finely chopped
  4. 1 tomato finely chopped
  5. ¾ cup cabbage finally chopped
  6. ¾ cup cucumber finely chopped (remove access water)
  7. ¾ cup carrot finely chopped
  8. ¾ cup mozzarella cheese, grated
  9. ½ tsp pepper, crushed
  10. 1 tsp chaat masala
  11. pinch of salt
  12. ¼ cup green chutney
  13. 2 tsp butter

INSTRUCTIONS
  1. firstly, in a large mixing bowl combine chopped capsicum and onion
  2.  1tomato finely chopped
  3. ¾ cup cabbage finally chopped
  4.  ¾ cup cucumber finely chopped (remove access water)
  5. ¾ cup carrot finely chopped
  6. add grate ¾ cup of mozzarella cheese or any cheese of your choice.
  7. additionally add ½ tsp pepper powder
  8. 1 tsp chaat masala and pinch of salt.
  9. add veg mayonnaise
  10. combine well and the stuffing is ready.
  11. now spread green chutney over a bread slice.
  12. furthermore, spread a tbsp of prepared stuffing.
  13. cover with a bread slice spreading green chutney on both sides.
  14. again spread prepared stuffing.
  15. cover again with bread slice spread with green chutney. this forms 2 layer stuffing with 3 bread slices.
  16. now grill golden or toast on tawa by spreading butter.
  17. finally, cut half and serve mozzarella cheese sandwich garnished with more grated cheese


Notes:

firstly, use white bread or brown bread of your choice.

also, toasting sandwich is optional, however it taste great when toasted.

additionally, toast the bread on tawa or use sandwich maker to roast golden and crisp.

finally, eggless mayonnaise sandwich recipe taste great when served hot.

Medu/urad dal with Rava  recipe. medu vada is a popular south indian breakfast recipe served along side with idli and sambar. a south indian breakfast is unfinished

without uddina wada or medu dal vada. in some of the popular south indian restaurant, medu vada is also served with the main course along with rice and rasam.

being a nonvegetarian, one of the important nutrients for our body is proteins. and urad dal is richest source of proteins and vitamin b. more importantly, urad dal is also

beneficial for womens. it contains magnesium, potassium, calcium which is very essential for women’s healthy pulse. apart from these it is also good for diabetes and is good for mens sexual problems.


INGREDIENTS


  1. 1 cups of urad dal or uddina bele
  2. ¼ rava (small/ bombay rava)
  3. 1 green chillies
  4. 3 tbsp of dry chopped coconut
  5. few curry leaves
  6. 1 tbsp coriander leaves, chopped
  7. 1 inch ginger, finely chopped)
  8. salt to taste
  9. 4-5 black pepper whole seeds
  10. oil to fry


INSTRUCTIONS

wash and soak dal in about 3 cups of water for about 6hours.
drain all the water from soaked dal. grind urad dal smooth paste using very little water in mixer grinder.
the batter should be thick and use very little water. the right consistency is very important or otherwise, you will not be able to get the vada shape
remove batter in a vessel.
add coriander, green chili, ginger and chopped dry coconut to the batter and black pepper. mix it very well.
add 2-3 tsp bombay rava is added to make it crispy.
 add pinch of hing is optional to make it more digestible.
heat the oil in a frying pan in medium flame. wet your palms and take a small size batter. 
make hole in the center and and slide it into the hot oil. or take a spoon apply oil in it keep the better make hole in the centre on spoon and slide it in oil
the vada should float on top of oil.strive the batter with hands before taking it for next (striving the batter makes it fluffy)
make sure your oil is not too hot. otherwise the vadas would not cook evenly.
fry on both sides till it becomes golden brown in colour.
serve medu vada immediately with coconut chutney with sambar .
